Complementary Filtration

As an alternative to either sheet filter media or the lenticular filtration system, process cartridges can be used for some filtration requirements

Trap filtration.

Carlson has a range of wound, depth filter cartridges. They have high flow rate and dirt holding capacity and long life. They allow ease of installation combined with a full range of micron ratings from 1 to 100um. Chemical compatibility is provided through a range of media materials on support cores of polypropylene, stainless steel, or tin plated steel.

All polypropylene particulate cartridges

Absolute or nominally rated, all polypropylene filter cartridges exhibiting higher throughput, low pressure loss, high dirt holding capacity, long on-stream life, lower filtration costs, ideal for pre-filtration and clarifying of liquids. Available in micron ratings from 0.5 to 100 microns and in 10", 20", 30" and 40" lengths. Thermal bonding of the assembly not only guarantees the cartridge integrity but also benefits users by eliminating the need for glues or adhesives, thus minimising levels of extractables and broadening the range of chemical compatibility.

PES Membrane Cartridges

Carlson polyethersulfone membranes are encased and supported by all polypropylene materials. Pore sizes range from 0.2 to 0.65 microns and lengths from 10" to 40".

Housings

Carlson can also supply a wide range of single and multi stack all stainless steel housings capable of accommodating cartridges sized 10" to 40" and with a variety of end caps.

Filter Bags and Bag Housings

Using only top quality filter fabrics to ensure consistent quality and performance, Carlson filter bags are available in felt, nylon monofilament, polypropylene and polyester in a range of micron ratings from 1 to 1500um. To accommodate these bags we can offer a range of stainless steel, single, double and mini bag housings.

Filter papers

These are designed for a wide range of applications in the beverage, soft drinks, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. These are available in either creped or plain paper and in sizes to suit all commercially available presses .
